Installation (about 10 minutes)
Tools: small flat screwdriver, the replacement nozzle, washer fluid.
- Open the hood and locate the nozzle on the hood or the cowl below the windshield.
- Release the retaining clip. Press the tab underneath with the screwdriver while lifting the nozzle.
- Pull the hose off the barb. Twist gently — do not yank, or you will crack the hose.
- Match the old number to your new nozzle before fitting.
- Push the hose onto the barb until it seats, then clip the nozzle into the opening.
- Test the spray and adjust the aim if needed.
- Top up with proper washer fluid. Plain water scales and freezes.
Do not use compressed air to clear the nozzle while it is installed. It can blow the hose off its fitting inside the fender, turning a ten-minute job into a bumper-removal job.
